About Nicole

Hello, everyone!  I am the proud owner of OKC Cake Lady and Exquisite Wedding Cakes by Nicole.  As you might’ve guessed, I was born and raised in beautiful Oklahoma City and have been providing designer cakes to the entire state of Oklahoma for almost 10 years.

I have always loved art in all shapes and forms. At the age of 15, I developed a passion for drawing and painting that attracted me to custom airbrush artwork on lowrider cars.

This attraction led me to the closest job that a high school kid could get to detailing and airbrushing - working in the bakery at my local grocery store as a cake decorator. After two short weeks of decorating, I knew that I’d found my calling.

Decorating did not feel like work to me - it was more like art and creative expression. Whenever it was time for my shift to end, I would always find a way to stay a little longer. Along the way, I became very well-known with customers and was often requested to make their cakes. Over the course of the next several years, my knowledge and skillset grew to the point where I desired to create elaborate designer cakes for my customers.  Accordingly, I enrolled in business management classes at a local college and used that knowledge to help me begin my OKC Cake Lady business.

Soon after, I parted ways with the grocery store bakery and officially went on my own path working full time for myself. And you know what? The journey has been nothing short of amazing! Almost 10 years after my beginning, cake designing still feels every bit like a daily opportunity to create artistic expressions. As if that isn’t enough on its own, I also enjoy communicating with the best clientele in the world. My favorite part of what I do is seeing client reactions and receiving their feedback. I am so appreciative of my following and I treasure the smiles that result from my cake designs.

From birthdays to weddings and everything in between, I continue to love my profession and I hope that my cake designs always reflect that.  Thank you again for stopping by.  I look forward to creating something beautiful for you!
